Built in the 11th century on a rocky hill, this church is a perfect example of how art and faith blend harmoniously. Its architecture, with its simple and clean lines, is characterized by a harmonious fusion of Byzantine, Norman, and Arab elements. The Sanctuary of San Francesco di Paola, located in the picturesque town of Paola in Calabria, represents a place of deep devotion and spirituality. Founded in the 15th century to house the relics of the hermit saint, the sanctuary has over the centuries become an important center of pilgrimage and prayer. The current structure, imposing and evocative, dominates the hill on which Paola stands, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
